Regional Sales Representative (Western US Region)

Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a motivated, driven professional who is looking to accelerate their career growth within the largestprivately-held rigid plastics manufacturer in North America.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be instrumental in the growth of Plastipak through business development andaccount management throughout the Western US Region.
The position will be primarily working with our Californiamanufacturing sites, which are in Victorville and Modesto.
You are expected to be involved in our fast-paced environment, lead cross-functional teams, drive toward results, andcommunicate across various levels of our organization.
Since this role is high-visibility in our growth-oriented organization, possessing strong communication and relationshipmanagement skills are the foundation for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Identifying new leads to obtain new business development opportunities- Maintaining excellent account management with existing customers; engage in timely follow up to ensure best in classcustomer service- Building, maintaining and developing relationships with customers via meetings, phone and emails- Visiting Plastipak sites and development centers to learn and understand the processes used in our business and well asthe quality systems employed- Visiting existing and prospective customers throughout the Western US- Involvement in the entire sales cycle from prospecting to account management- Assess application of company products/services and offer solutions to meet customer needs- Use technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales- Gather market and customer information; assist in developing regional sales strategySkills/Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree required, Packaging Engineering or Engineering, or relevant industry experience- At least 3 years in a sales or account management role- Experience in plastic packaging- preferably in rigid plastics- Travel Requirements:
50%- Well rounded individual with an outgoing personality- Strong work ethic, with good communication skills both written and verbal- Self - motivated and independent, able to achieve corporate goals with minimal day to day supervision- Strong organizational and problem solving skills, good business acumen- Above average technical aptitude, with the ability to interact with a diverse customer base

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
