people strong and growing! You could play a key role supporting the Family Well Being Division! Within a team environment, this position will perform the following
Responsibilities:
Using well-defined lines of communication and appropriate professional boundaries, assess behavioral concerns and act as a consultative resource and guide for family child care providers in incorporating Trauma-Informed Care (75%), Strengthen and support effective program implementation by collaborating with internal and external entities (10%), Serve as a Trauma-Informed Care and program subject matter expert when participating in all relevant meetings and advance expertise through trainings (10%), Adhere to all legal, ethical and contractual requirements regarding child welfare, confidentiality and record keeping (5%).
Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor's degree required in related fields of early childhood education, human services, social work, psychology
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience of working with children and families, specifically children ages birth to 5; Knowledge of trauma informed care, mental health issues of foster children, developmentally appropriate practices, effective teaching strategies, regulations, Community Care Licensing requirements, and DCFS Professional/Technical Certifications:
Aid/CPR Certification Bilingual Required:
Ability to converse, write and/or translate in English and Spanish Travel:
Some travel/business related driving required; automobile, current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and DMV clearance required.
Work Schedule:
Full time, typically M-F, ability to at times work a non-traditional work schedule including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
Work environment:
Mixture of working in an office work environment and working directly with the community Background & Health Clearance Requirements:
