This position will be filled using 1st & 2nd considerations.
Summary Move inventory, equipment and supplies by means of material handling equipment about the warehouse or other designated storage areas.
Issue, receive and pre-load materials, supplies and equipment for field forces according to requisitions.
General Duties Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
A.
Fill orders from inventories in accordance with specifications on disbursement documents or other instructions.
B.
Ensure completeness and correctness of materials to be shipped by examining quantities, quality and labeling and comparing them with the shipping instructions.
C.
Prepare filled orders for shipment by placing them in shipping containers, using packaging materials to prevent breakage or otherwise packaging them to insure safe shipment.
D.
Process orders to the shipping area by means of material handling equipment and/or assist in loading and unloading vehicles.
E.
Take physical inventory, noting items and quantity on hand, prepare appropriate documents and route to the appropriate section for processing.
F.
Receive, count and examine incoming supplies, inventory and equipment to verify completeness of shipments against receiving documents.
G.
May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.
Basic Qualifications A.
Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.
B.
This work requires the employee to do a substantial amount of:
(1) walking and standing throughout the work day, (2) lifting heavy objects, and (3) working above ground level.
C.
Must possess, at time of appointment, a valid California class C driver's license and, if required at the assigned job site, must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a vehicle equipped with standard (manual shift) transmission.
D.
Minimum 3 years of recent experience First consideration will be given to an individual who is currently holding or has in the past three years successfully held the position of Material Handler and/or Warehouse Attendant.
Second consideration will be given to an individual who in the past three years successfully held the position of Material Processor or who possesses the equivalent work experience (i.
e.
, other logistics / warehouse work experience).
If there are no individuals who meet the criteria outlined above, consideration will be given to all other individuals.
E.
Must possess the ability to perceive difference in colors.
F.
Must possess the ability to distinguish audible tones/levels.
