Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of limited or non-English speaking students; monitor and report student progress.
Minimum Qualifications Required to Apply Any combination equivalent to:
graduation from high school and sufficient experience in the appropriate language and culture to provide the requisite knowledge and abilities.
MUST UPLOAD HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED.
LICENSES:
This classification requires the ability to speak, read, write and translate English and a designated second language as determined by the District and require some experience working with people of various cultures.
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE:
The selection process will consist of a Screening Process and a Written Exam.
Essential Duties Tutor individuals or small groups of students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher; communicate with students in English and a designated second language to facilitate instructional processes; translate textbook and homework assignments in subjects such as math, social studies, science, reading and English.
Communicate with students in English or a designated second language as required to facilitate instructional processes; provide translation in parent-teacher conferences or telephone calls with limited or non-English speaking parents as required; translate or write notes, letters and other materials as necessary.
Assist in preparing instructional materials as directed by the teacher; assist the teacher in administering tests according to established guidelines; assist in administering English proficiency tests of identified students.
Monitor, observe and report progress regarding student performance and behavior; confer with students, parents and administrators regarding student behavior.
Administer, score, interpret, and make recommendation for placement to site administration.
Perform routine clerical duties in support of classroom activities such as duplicating and filing instructional materials.
Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
Confer with teachers concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
Participate in meetings, conferences and in-service training programs as assigned.
Operate instructional, computer and duplicating equipment as required.
Perform related duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
