High School graduate or equivalent required Preferred one (1) year of direct service experience with the mentally ill Valid California Driver's License and clear DMV printout Necessary skills include the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
A willingness to fluctuate scheduled work hours to accommodate transportation needs.
Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with mentally ill clients, other staff and the public.
How you will make a difference:
The Transportation Aide is responsible assisting in transporting clients to off-site community resources as determined by the crisis team, as well as other transportation assignments.
Division/Program Overview:
The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention All age groups - children, adolescents, adults, and older adults - who need immediate access to crisis mental health services.
The center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community Learn more about SBHG at:
