OR Scheduler REPORTS TO:
Director of Surgical Services POSITION
Summary:
Coordinates the overall operating room schedule for the department and have the ability to communicate effectively and remain focused in a fast paced environment.
This position is also responsible for answering phones and screening calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments, following up authorizations as well as other duties to assist staff and physicians with surgery scheduling.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1-3 years of clinical or clerical experience in a healthcare setting required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certificate of completion for a medical terminology course is preferred.
Must possess a current BLS certification.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
